Three Sunset Routes from Marina Botafoc

Direct answer

Three classic last-light runs from Marina Botafoc: Es Vedrà (the icon, 90 min cruise), Punta Galera (quieter, 60 min), and San Antonio Bay (social, 75 min). Each delivers a different mood. Maps below.

Route 1 — Es Vedrà

Marina Botafoc → Es Vedrà sunset

The iconic sunset. 90 minutes cruise each way.

The Es Vedrà silhouette is the most photographed sunset in the western Mediterranean. Anchor 200m off the south face, watch the rock turn gold for 45 minutes.

Route 2 — Punta Galera

Marina Botafoc → Punta Galera

Cliffs and rock terraces. 60 minutes each way.

The flat rock terraces at the north-west tip of Ibiza catch the sunset light at a different angle. Quieter than Es Vedrà — usually two or three boats anchored, not twenty.

Route 3 — San Antonio Bay

IBIZAFORMENTERA1Marina Botafoc3Sant Antoni2Cala Jondal (Blue Marlin)

Marina Botafoc → Sant Antoni Bay

Social and energetic. 75 minutes each way.

The original Café del Mar sunset. More social, more crowded — the right choice when the brief is energy not solitude. Music up, drinks flowing, the day winds down with hundreds of other boats.

Which yacht for which route?

Es Vedrà needs range — a 60ft+ sport boat or flybridge is comfortable. Punta Galera works on anything, including a fast RIB. San Antonio rewards the right sound system more than the hull type — see the sunset yacht piece for the music and choreography notes.
