A Babymoon at Sea

Calm water, slow days, no rushing. A short charter for the final pre-baby trip.

A growing number of couples the office quotes are planning a short charter as a final pre-baby trip — usually two or three nights, sometime in the second trimester, before the third becomes uncomfortable. The brief is almost always the same: calm water, slow days, no rushing, no late nights.

The yacht charter, properly planned, suits this brief better than almost any other form of travel. Short legs only, sheltered anchorages, a chef briefed on dietary restrictions, a second cabin made up as a daytime nap room (even if you don't think you'll use it, you will).

Questions we hear

Most-asked.

Until what week of pregnancy is a charter advisable?+

Most physicians clear travel until around week 28 of an uncomplicated pregnancy. We follow your physician's guidance and adapt the legs and anchorages accordingly.

What if there's a medical situation on board?+

Every charter has a medical kit and a contact at Policlínica Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Ibiza Town. The captain can be alongside in under 25 minutes from any south-coast anchorage.
