Ibiza Villa Rental with a Private Chef: How It Works

·5 min read·Aurelius Society

Direct answer

Every Aurelius villa rental can include a private chef on demand — full week, weekday-only, or one-off evenings. Three tiers: house cook (€350/day), trained sous-chef (€600/day), Michelin-trained guest chef (€1,200+/event). The office handles intake, provisioning and dietary clearance.

A private chef is the layer that turns a villa rental into a real retreat. The smallest villas in our collection (Villa Sant Jordi, Can Furnet 2) have full-equipped kitchens but no resident cook; Casa Caleta includes live-in cooks as standard. Below is how chef bookings actually work.

The three tiers

Tier 1 — house cook (€300–€450 / day)

A reliable home-style cook who handles breakfast, light lunch, and family dinner. Comfortable with Mediterranean staples, fresh fish, paella, salads. The right format for relaxed weeks.

Tier 2 — trained sous-chef (€500–€700 / day)

Hotel-trained background, comfortable with menu design, dietary accommodations, more formal dinners. Often the right choice for family + friends weeks of 10+ guests.

Tier 3 — Michelin-trained guest chef (€1,000–€2,500 / event)

A touring chef who normally works at a starred restaurant in Madrid, Barcelona or Paris, booked for a single evening tasting menu with wine pairing. The headline dinner of a celebration week.

How the booking flow works

  • Pre-arrival intake covers allergies, dietary preferences (vegan, halal, gluten-free), preferred wines, must-try ingredients
  • The office quotes specific chefs by tier and date availability
  • Provisioning at cost — no chef-side mark-up
  • Service days flex to your schedule — chef arrives 09:00 or 14:00 depending on meal load
  • Settled at the end of the stay alongside the rest of the bill

What stays with us

The chef has a confidentiality agreement with the office. Menus, dinner photographs and your group composition stay between the house and the chef. This matters more for the touring guest-chef tier than the daily cook tier.

Combining chef with yacht days

On day-charter days, your villa chef can pre-pack a yacht lunch (paella, sushi rolls, tartare boards) for the captain to serve at anchor. Saves the office a separate booking and keeps the food identity consistent with the rest of the week.
