Tagomago

The private island a mile off the east coast — a quiet anchorage on the south-west side, often empty when the west coast is full.

agomago is the small private island a mile off Ibiza's east coast — visible from the cliffs at Cap Martinet but largely overlooked by charter parties drawn to the west. The island has one private residence and no public access; the surrounding water is clean, the south-west anchorage is sheltered from the prevailing wind, and the cove is regularly empty even in peak August.

We come here when the west coast is busy or when a charter wants a quieter day. The east-coast restaurants — Sa Punta in Talamanca, El Chiringuito at Es Cavallet — are an easy after-dinner return.

Questions we hear

Tagomago — answered.

Can we step ashore on Tagomago?+

No — the island is privately owned and access is by invitation only. The water around it is public and we anchor in the sheltered south-west cove for swimming and lunch on board.

Why is Tagomago less busy than the west coast?+

The east coast of Ibiza is less developed and attracts fewer day charters out of Sant Antoni. For charter parties looking for a quieter day on the water, the east coast — Tagomago, Cala Mastella, Pou des Lleó — is often the better choice in peak season.
